Belton had a career year for the Mavericks averaging 18 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game while racking up 91 total steals. His steal total is tops in the entire country, and on February 8 against Pitt-Greensburg he became just the 10th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point mark. With his leadership Medaille went 19-6 in the regular season and 16-2 in AMCC play.
The 16-2 mark in conference play earned the Mavericks their first AMCC regular season title since the 2011-12 season. Medaille rode that momentum all the way through the AMCC Tournament to capture their fifth conference championship and earn a spot in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
The voting began at 12:00 pm on Monday, March 6 and will run through Wednesday, March 8. The voting ballot will be located on the front page of the D3hoops.com website.
