PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alfred State UTIL Jordan Hughes helped lead the Pioneers to a 2-0 start in conference play as he went 6-for-8 at the plate with three home runs, for 10 RBI, a walk, and a stolen base. In the the first game against Mount Aloysius, he went 4-for-4 with two homers and seven RBI. In game two, he went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base. Also in game one, Hughes got the start and win on the mound as he pitched 5.0 innings scattering three runs over eight hits with three strikeouts, in the Pioneers 20-5 win over Mt. Aloysius.

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius INF Owen McDermott put together an strong all-around week at the plate, highlighted by surpassing 100 career hits in the Mounties’ win over Colby-Sawyer, going 4-for-5 with three RBI as part of a high-scoring comeback victory; across five games on the week, he hit .565 (13-for-23) with three doubles, five RBI, and registered five stolen bases...PS-Behrend C Thomas Nicely had five hits in the doubleheader sweep over Altoona, driving in five runs and hitting a pair of home runs on Saturday, he recorded a home run in each game, scoring a total of four runs and stealing a base...PS-Altoona C Aidan Donovan had a big week with the bat while starting behind the plate in three of the Lions' four games, he combined to hit .700 (7-for-10) with seven RBI, one double, one triple, and one run scored, posting a .727 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage...Hilbert 1B Harley Hoag led the Hawks to a 3-0 week with wins over La Roche and Houghton, he reached base safely in nine of his 14 plate appearances, which included three doubles, two hit by pitches, three RBI, a run scored and stole a base...Pitt-Greensburg OF Colby Rearick went 4-for-6 with three extra base hits and three RBI in the conference-opening double header against Pitt-Bradford, he also drew two walks, for an OBP of .750 for the doubleheader.
