Yard had a strong week at the plate last week. He hit .615 (16 for 26) with 12 RBI, nine runs, seven doubles, three home runs and two triples. The first baseman also hit for the cycle in a 12-1 victory over Mt. Aloysius. Yard is tied for second in the conference with four home runs and is third with 21 RBI.

Hilbert SO Taylor Haug hit .385 with a double, 3 walks, an RBI and 2 runs scored in 4 games this week against Behrend and La Roche. The sophomore finished the week with a .500 OBP.
PS-Altoona INF Pete Jacobs had a strong week at the plate for the Lions. In three games total against AMCC opponents Pitt-Greensburg and Medaille, he batted 5-for-10 (.500) with a double, a triple, three RBI, and a run scored. He posted a .583 on-base percentage and slugged .800.
PS-Behrend INF Brandon Bergstrom put together a solid week for the Lions as they went 4-0 to start the 2017 conference season. He recorded multiple hits in each game including a 3-for-4 performance with three RBI in game one against Mt. Aloysius on Sunday. He finished the week batting .500 (9-for-18) with a .722 slugging percentage. Bergstrom hit two doubles, a triple and recorded six RBIs.
Medaille INF Jared McStine was instrumental in the sweep of Penn State Altoona. He batted (.444; 4-9) with 2 walks and slugged (1.000). He had a double and his first career home run to start up the scoring in game one. He socked another double in the nightcap. In two games, McStine scored 7 runs, drove in four more, had three extra base hits and stole two bases. He also picked up the win on the mound in game two.
