FIVE AMCC BASEBALL PLAYERS GARNER ABCA/RAWLINGS ALL-REGION HONORS
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has five players named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region 7 Team.
Penn State Behrend juniors Colin Bolla and Dylan Barnes along with sophomore Tyler Burick were recognized to the Second Team, while Penn State Altoona senior Jonathan Rauch and Alfred State College sophomore Jordan Hughes earned Third Team honors.
Barnes is earning his third postseason honor after landing on the D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team. The outfielder was also named AMCC Player of the Year and landed on the All-AMCC First Team. He ranked 40th in NCAA Division III statistics in base on balls per game (28). Barnes finished second on the team with a .417 batting average, competing in 42 games and registering 63 hits in 151 at-bats. He led with seven home runs, while ranking second in RBIs (43) and fourth in doubles (15). Barnes scored 45 runs and boasted a .669 slugging percentage. He delivered his 100th RBI this season against Alfred State in the AMCC Championship game and recorded a 15-game hitting streak during the season. Barnes tallied 19 multi-hit games and eight contests with two or more RBIs.
Bolla was named to the All-AMCC First Team as a starting pitcher. He finished ranked 18th in NCAA Division III statistics in K's per nine (11.25). He was named the Division III Pitcher of the Week and also named to the d3baseball.com Team of the Week for throwing his first collegiate no-hitter against Pitt-Bradford. Bolla started in 12 games for an 8-2 overall record and a 3.41 ERA. He pitched 66 innings and allowed 25 earned runs and fanned 95. He has thrown two complete games and struck out 12 on two occasions this season, while reaching 200 career K's.
Burick joined Barnes and Bolla on the All-AMCC First Team. The sophomore, earning his first All-Region honors, led the team with 65 hits, 18 doubles and five triples. Burick tied for third with 40 RBIs and boasts a .396 average. He had 24 multiple-hit games, including 11 with three hits and 11 multiple-RBI games. Burick turned 16 double plays from second base and recorded nine stolen bases.
Rauch was also an AMCC First Team honoree after producing an impressive senior season for the Lions. The first baseman played in 35 games and led the AMCC in home runs (13) and slugging percentage (.805) while also ranking second in total bases (103), third in RBI (43) and on-base percentage (.497), fourth in batting average (.414), eighth in hits (53), ninth in runs scored (39), 12th in doubles (11), and 16th in walks (18).
Hughes earned First Team all-conference honors as a designated hitter and was also named a Third Team all-conference pitcher. He batted .327 on the year and tallied 53 hits. Of the 53 hits, Hughes tallied 11 homeruns and 13 doubles for a total of 53 RBI. The sophomore finished the year with a .611 slugging percentage and a .424 on-base percentage. As a pitcher, the Utica, NY native had a 4.52 ERA in 63.2 innings of work. He posted a 6-5 record on the year in 13 starts. He threw two complete games and struck out 61 batters.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association, and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
