BEHREND'S SADA BREAKS NCAA DIVISION III DOUBLES RECORD

Penn State Behrend senior infielder Scott Sada has earned numerous awards over the past three years, but on Wednesday, he set a national record.

Sada, a senior out of Saegertown, PA, hit his 82nd career double to set an NCAA Division III record. He broke the record of 81 set by Sam Dexter of Southern Maine in 2016.

Sada had 25 doubles as a freshman, 20 as a sophomore and 21 as a junior. He had 16 this season going into the weekend.

He is a career .392 hitter with 20 home runs, 147 RBIs and 170 runs scored. He was hitting .351 this season with four homers and 19 RBIs.
