FORMER PITT-GREENSBURG STANDOUT SIGNS PRO CONTRACT
Former UPG baseball standout Dylin Brooks has been signed to a professional baseball contract by the Garden City Wind, of the Pecos League.
Former Pitt-Greensburg baseball standout Dylin Brooks has been signed to a professional baseball contract by the Garden City Wind of the Pecos League. Brooks becomes the first Bobcat in program history to sign a professional baseball contract.
Brooks will report to the Wind, based in Western Kansas, in early May for a 70 game season that runs mid-May until the end of July. The Pecos League is an eight-team league with teams in Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. Garden City will be entering their inaugural season in the Pecos League in 2015.
As a member of the Bobcats, Brooks was a four-year starter in the middle infield, finishing his career as the all-time leader in hits with 158, as well as career runs with 131 from 2011-2014. Brooks earned All-AMCC honors his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and helped the Bobcats to their first ever AMCC Championship game appearance and runner-up finish in 2014.
