The Mount Aloysius College Baseball team participated in "Project Bundle Up" for the fifth year in a row. "Project Bundle Up" is a program sponsored by the Salvation Army. The program occurs during the early Autumn season and is designed to cloth those in need with winter coats before the cold sets in. The program is designated for teens and toddlers but occasionally also reaches out to needy senior citizens. The program took place at Boscov's Department Store at the Johnstown Galleria Mall. After the store closes, volunteers take these needy children shopping for coats in the Boscov's store. The Salvation Army covers the cost of these coats and volunteers help the children try on coats to make sure they fit while trying to find a coat that is appealing to the child. Employees from Boscov's also volunteer their time to stay after work to run the registers and to make sure inventory is laid our for those in need.
