AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR OCTOBER 6-12, 2025
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, women's volleyball, and women's tennis for the period running from October 6-12, 2025.
Women's Tennis: Pitt-Greensburg SO Gabi Moder helped lead UPG to clinching the three seed in the AMCC Tournament with wins in #1 singles and #1 doubles against Mount Aloysius. Moder then finished the regular season strong with wins in #1 singles and #1 doubles against NCAA DII opponent Clarion on Sunday.
Men's Soccer (Offensve): Mount Aloysius F Gonzalo Terricabris scored a goal in each of the Mounties' games this past week as they went 1-0-1. Terricabris recorded one goal on two shots in a 6-1 win over PS-Altoona, then recorded another goal in a 2-2 tied against Alfred State, registering seven shots on goal in the two contests.
Men's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg D Arlo McIntyre played all but nine minutes in two conference games last week, as the Bobcats went 2-0. McIntyre anchored a defense that gave up just one goal in two games, including shutting out defending AMCC champion Penn State Behrend. In addition to his hard-nosed defense, McIntyre recorded two assists against Carlow, then followed that up by scoring the lone and game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over Behrend. The win was the first for Pitt-Greensburg over Behrend in over 20 years (2004).
Women's Soccer (Offensive): Alfred State F Karlee Hargather led the Pioneers to victory against the Mounties as she tallied two of the three goals, with one of the goals counting as the game-winner.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Altoona GK Mya Torres kept clean sheets in the Lions' two conference games last week, helping the Lions to go 1-0-1. For the week, Torres made seven saves, including three against Mount Aloysius and four against Pitt-Bradford for a 1.000 save percentage on the week.
Women's Volleyball (Offensive): PS-Behrend OH Cadence Jones hit .500 in a pair of AMCC wins, averaging 6.00 kills per set. She tallied a match-high 22 kills and added 13 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. Jones then knocked down 14 kills with eight digs vs. Pitt-Greensburg.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): Mount Aloyius OH Madison Barr led the Mounties to a 2-0 record in conference play last week with wins over Penn State Altoona and Alfred Sate. Barr recorded 39 digs (5.57 digs per set) and collected 25 receives without committing an error.
Men's Cross Country: Pitt-Greensburg JR David Brokaw won the Mountie Invitational, making it the third year in a row a UPG runner has won this event. Brokaw finished the 5k course in 18:25.70, besting his PR by 90 seconds.
Women's Cross Country: PS-Altoona SR Victoria Scutti was the Lions' top finisher in Saturday's 5K race at the CMU Invitational. Scutti finished in 18:56.3 to come in 52nd place out of 183 individual runners in a highly competitive field that included several Division II schools.
