AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR SEPTEMBER 8-14
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, women's volleyball, and women's tennis for the period running from September 8-14, 2025.

Women's Tennis: PS-Behrend JR Lindsey Kerlin tallied three straight singles wins and two doubles in a 3-0 week for the Lions. She blanked her opponent vs. Fredonia at No. 4 singles and only gave up five set points in the two AMCC wins.
Women's Volleyball (Offensive): Mount Aloysius OH Molly Richards was named to the All-Tournament team at the McDaniel quad-match, as she led the Mounties in each of the four games in kills as the team went 4-0. Richards recorded 70 kills, averaging 5.83 kills per set, while swinging at a .346 clip. She also added five service aces and 44 digs (3.67 digs per set) while averaging 6.3 points per set. The Mounties are currently riding a six game winning streak.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): Mount Aloysius L Madison Barr led the Mounties to a 4-0 record with 54 digs (4.50 digs per set) this week. The Libero for Mount Aloysius anchored down the back row all weekend, helping the Mounties go undefeated and extend their win streak to six.
Men's Cross Country: PS-Behrend SR Alex Haskins was the individual winner in a field of 34 at the Behrend Invitational on Friday. He ran a person-best time of 27:35 and had a pace of 5:33 for first overall.
Women's Cross Country: PS-Behrend FR Kelsey Hanna registered a 25:05 for her first collegiate 6K race, placing first out of 31 runners. She tallied a pace of 6:44 for the course.
Men's Soccer (Offensive): Alfred State F Ryan Masi had two goals for the Pioneers in last week's matchups. He scored the first against Houghton in a 4-0 win and then added the goal to keep a tie in a hard-Fought battle vs Fredonia.
Men's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Behrend GK Anthony Scalise made nine saves over two games and posted his first shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Grove City. Scalise recorded five saves in the win over Grove City, following that up with four saves in a 2-1 win over Chatham.
Women's Soccer (Offensive): Alfred State F Karlee Hargather tallied her second career hat trick in a 4-0 win against SUNY Canton. She took a total of three shots and all three found the back of the net.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Behrend D Anna Steinbeck anchored the defense that held two teams scoreless this week and only allowed a combined seven total shots. The Lions defeated Allegheny 2-0 before ending the week with a 0-0 tie vs. Houghton. Steinbeck also scored her first collegiate goal in the win over Allegheny.
