The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's basketball, wrestling and swimming & diving for the period running from November 18-24, 2024.

Men's Wrestling: PS-Behrend SO Cole Neil (141) was undefeated on the week, getting three dual-meet wins (two pins, one decision) to help the Lions improve to 5-1 on the season. Neil registered the first points for Behrend against St. Vincent on Wednesday, pinning Liam Flanigan at 141. He then picked up a pair of wins on Saturday. Neil used an 8-4 decision to defeat Jackson Bowers of Hiram before pinning Mamady Treore of Pitt-Bradford in 2:08.
Women's Wrestling: Hiram SR Kylee Bentley (110 lbs) highlighted the JCU Duals for the Terriers, as she went 3-0 and picked up her 50th career victory in the first dual against Buffalo State, beating Renata Tumusabire by fall (1:08). The senior's all-time leading win total grew even further in the second dual, too, thanks to a win over John Carroll's Meredith Milligan by fall (0:20). It continues an incredibly successful career for Bentley, who has been with the program since its inception in 2021-22. Between the three duals on Sunday, Bentley scored 18 points for her team.
Men's Basketball: Mount Aloysius F De'von Haggans averaged 30.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game on 66.7% shooting for the Mounties this week, with his team going 1-1 in that stretch. Posting his career-high in points against Wilson, Haggans's follow up 24 point performance against Bethany solidified his place atop the AMCC leaderboard for points per game with 21.6. He also added 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game last week. In addition to leading the conference in scoring, Haggans also occupies the fifth-highest rebound per game total in the AMCC with 7.0, and the fifth-highest field goal percentage with 59.1%.
Women's Basketball: Mount Aloysius F Molly Kosmack averaged 18 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game last week, leading the Mounties team to a 2-0 record and a program best 4-1 start to the season. In a win over Hood College on Wednesday, Kosmack recorded 20 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. She followed that up on Saturday against Valley Forge with her second double-double of the week with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while addding four blocks, two assists and a steal. Kosmack currently leads the AMCC in points per game (18.5), rebounds per game (12.3), and blocks per game (2.4), while sitting third in field goal percentage (62%).
Men's Swimming: PS-Behrend JR Anthony Tumino set six records, while winning three individual events and swimming on four winning relays to help the Lions capture the Fredonia Blue Devil Invite for a second-straight season. Tumino won the 50 free with a new Behrend, pool and AMCC open record time of 20.78. He was first in the 100 free with a new pool and team record of 45.76, while also winning the 200 free (143.74). Tumino swam a leg on the winning 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay (all first-place finishes).
Men's Diving: Alfred State JR Conor Compton won both boards at the Blue Devil Invite, he set a pool record along with a school and conference record on the 1 meter board with a 539.60. He followed with a 548.70 on the 3 meter board to set another pool record.
Women's Swimming: PS-Behrend SO Camryn Watters broke four records on the weekend, while picking up a pair of first-place finishes at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invite. She broke the team, pool and AMCC open record with an NCAA 'B' cut time (56.63) in the 100 backstroke for first place. Watters also won the 200 backstroke (2:07.06), while placing third in the 50 free. She swam a leg on the 400 medley relay that took second and broke a team record (4:02.91). Watters was also a part of the second place 200 free relay, and the third place 400 free relay 200 medley relay.
