AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR OCTOBER 17-23, 2022
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, swimming & diving, and women's volleyball for the period running from October 17-23, 2022.

Women's Volleyball (Offensive): PS-Altoona OH Lacee Barnhart led the Lions' offense during a 2-1 week for her team. In Tuesday night's sweep of AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg, she totaled five points on five kills with a .333 attack percentage. The junior followed that up with 21.5 points on 21 kills and a block assist in the Lions' win over tough non-conference foe Elizabethtown on Thursday evening. In Saturday's loss at AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford, she totaled 17 points on 15 kills and two service aces. On the week, Lacee had 43.5 points (4.3 points per set) and 41 kills (4.1 kills per set) while swinging at a .210 clip and chipping in three assists and two aces.
Women's Volleyball (Defensive): Alfred State MH Keturah Gregory led the Pioneers to a 3-0 week with victories over Pitt-Bradford, La Roche and Medaille. Gregory recorded nine blocks (.82 b/s) in three Pioneer wins, while also adding seven digs on the week.
Men's Soccer (Offensive): Mount Aloysius M Tevin Beadle led the Mounties to a 2-0 week, with five goals and two conference wins. In their first win of the week, against La Roche, Beadle scored twice, including the game-winning goal. He followed that up with a hat-trick, on Saturday, in a 9-0 win against Hilbert on Senior Day. Beadle's offensive outburst put him at the top of the league in both goals (7) and total points (15), in conference play.
Men's Soccer (Defensive): PS-Behrend GK Sam York tallied two wins, including one shutout, to keep the Lions undefeated in AMCC action. He shared a shutout in the win over Hilbert. Over the two games he made two saves. The defense has not given up a goal in 671 minutes and 17 seconds.
Women's Soccer (Offensive): Alfred State F Jena Schelble recorded three goals and an assist last week for the Pionerrs. She was a huge part of the offense in two big wins coming to an end of regular season. The Pioneers went 2-0 in conference play, picking up wins over Pitt-Bradford and La Roche.
Women's Soccer (Defensive): Pitt-Greensburg GK Hailey Kepner played two games in net for the Bobcats this week and earned two wins over Penn State Behrend and Penn State Altoona. She made six saves on seven shots and helped the Bobcats win the program's second AMCC regular season title in the past three seasons.
Men's Swimming: PS-Behrend SO Tim Compton was a three-time individual and one relay winner to lead Behrend over. Westminster. He won the 200 butterfly (1:58.40), the 100 butterfly (53.41) and the 200 IM (2:02.18) while swimming a leg on the winning 200 medley relay.
Women's Swimming: PS-Behrend SO Emma Webster led the Lions with two first place finishes against Westminster on Saturday. Webster came in first place in the 100 backstroke (1:06.14) and the 200 backstroke (2:20.39).
