AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR FEBRUARY 14-20, 2022
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's and women's basketball, and men's volleyball, baseball, and tennis for the period running from February 14-20, 2022.

Women's Basketball: Hilbert F Macy Kisner averaged a double-double over two conference victories in the final week of regular season play. In two games, she averaged 20.5 points, 18.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 block per game. In a 51-33 win over Pitt-Bradford, Kisner collected another double-double after posting 18 points and 20 rebounds (8 offensive) and besting the team with three assists. The Hilbert College women's basketball team scored a big win Saturday afternoon after they defeated Mount Aloysius College (68-58) in their final game of the regular season schedule. Macy Kisner, in 39 minutes of action, posted another double-double this season pairing 23 points with 17 rebounds. She went 13-for-16 from the charity stripe and led with three steals and five offensive rebounds.
Men's Basketball: Pitt-Bradford G Isaiah Archie scored 32.5 points per game in the Panthers' final week of the 2021-22 season. In the Panthers' matchup with hilbert, he scored a season-high 39 points, making 13-of-16 from the field, 1-for-2 from three and 12-of-15 from the free throw line. He also added five assists. He shot 72.7% from the field and totaled seven rebounds, seven assists and points steals for the week.
Men's Volleyball: Geneva MB Carter Milroy had a big week both offensively and defensively for Geneva. He finished the week with 29 kills (2.64 k/s) on a .333 hitting percentage, including a career-high 14 kills against Medaille. He also added 16 blocks (1.45 b/s) in Geneva's three matches, and he now leads the AMCC with 0.93 b/s. He also contributed 10 digs and four aces last week, finishing the week with 3.7 points per set.
Baseball (Pitcher): PS-Altoona SO Tristin Lockett made his Penn State Altoona debut on the mound Sunday at Hood and pitched well over three innings while on a pitch count. He started the game and struck out six batters and yielded just two walks, one hit, and one unearned run.
Baseball (Player): Alfred State P/1B/OF Matteo Avallone has recorded 12 hits, seven runs, nine RBIs, two doubles and two home runs in the Pioneers' first five games of the season. He has a .870 slugging percentage and .522 batting average. He went a combined four-for-nine against the defending NCAA Division III National Champions and No. 1 ranked Salisbury College and hit two home runs, the first one being a two-run homer and the other a three-run homer. In game two he had a .750 batting average and a 1.750 slugging percentage. In their three-game series against Ferrum College, Avallone went eight-for-14 and had five RBIs.
Men's Tennis: PS-Altoona FR Casey Hess had a great weekend for the Lions in their return to action for their first matches since the fall semester, going 2-0 in No. 3 singles with a pair of dominant wins and also going 1-1 in No. 2 doubles. Against non-conference opponent Westminster on Friday, he posted a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 3 singles match while falling 8-2 in No. 2 doubles. In his team's victory over AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg on Sunday, Hess had another 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 3 singles while also picking up an 8-2 triumph in No. 2 doubles.
