The D’Youville College women’s basketball team saw a record turnout at their skills clinic on
Sunday morning where up and coming women’s basketball players fine-tuned their craft.
Thirty-two young women grades 7-12 showed up to participate in the skills clinic. The girls were well
traveled as they came from Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Monroe and Livingston counties.
“I’m very pleased with the turnout and the commitment of the girls who showed up on a Sunday in July to work on their basketball skills,” said Head Coach Dan Glover.
The clinic was focused on breaking down and teaching skills to the young women. The campers were
then given the chance to practice what they had been taught through drills. A scrimmage concluded the day's work.
“It’s always rewarding to have the opportunity to work with kids on improving their basketball skills and knowledge,” added Coach Glover.
Members of the D’Youville women’s basketball team, including players and coaches, were on hand to
help the campers sharpen their skills. Alumni of the program were also in attendance to lend a hand.
