The AMCC have landed two standout performers on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Great Lakes All-Region Team.
The AMCC have landed two standout performers on the National
Association of Basketball Coaches Great Lakes All-Region
Team. AMCC Player of the Year Shawn
Greenfield was selected to the first team, while Penn St.
Behrend head coach David Niland was named Coach of
the Year.
A senior guard for Mount Aloysius College, Greenfield was ranked as
one of the highest scorers in NCAA Division III this past season.
Twice named AMCC Player of the Week, Greenfield finished the year
with a 26.0 ppg scoring average.
Niland earned conference Coach of the Year honors after guiding the
Lions to the second consecutive AMCC title and fifth all-time
championship. The Lions finished the regular season in league play
at 15-3 and 23-4 overall, and advanced to the second round of the
NCAA Div. III tournament.
