Pearce ran one of the best races in Penn State Altoona women's cross country history, achieving a personal-record time of 20:03 in the WCCC/Pitt-Greensburg Invitational 5K on Saturday to finish fifth out of 76 runners. Makayla's time is the second-fastest women's 5K time in school history, just five seconds off of the record time. Her time is also the fastest 5K time recorded in the AMCC so far this season. Her hard running on a flat course resulted in a personal record-setting day.

5K, placing first out of 30 runners with a time of
20:17...Medaille JR Christina Volpini finished
third in the Meghan Memorial race hosted by Hilbert College,
finishing in 21:37, and paced the Lady Mavs to a tournament best
team score of 39 as the Lady Mavs took home the team
title...Pitt-Bradford JR Olivia Schrock finished
eighth with a time of 23:20 at the Meghan Memorial race, this was
the highest finish for a Pitt-Bradford women’s runner this
year...Pitt-Greensburg FR Marie Miller placed
27th out of 75 runners at the Pitt-Greensburg/WCCC
Invitational with a time of 21:29...D’Youville Junior
Emily Quast finished fourth overall to lead the
way for the D'Youville Spartans at the Meghan Memorial with a time
of 21:55...La Roche FR Andrea Luciano finished
45th at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational on Saturday with a time of
24:27.
