PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius G Julian Stover averaged 21 points per game in a week when the Mounties played four games, including taking on three tough teams from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and a Division 1 opponent, Robert Morris University. Stover did his damage all over the court as he shot 43.8% from the field, 85% from the line and 42.1% from beyond the arc. He also chipped in 13 rebounds and 14 assists from his guard position. Stover poured in 26 points against Robert Morris, as he shot 50% from long range and 94.7% from the free throw line.  

 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche G RayQuan Phifer averaged 24 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a 1-1 week for La Roche, as he finished with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists in the Redhawks' loss at Marietta on Friday evening, and then helped La Roche to a comeback win over Wesley on Saturday, with 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while also registering his 1000th career point in the Redhawks' Saturday victory...Hilbert G Hunter Martineau led the Hawks to a 2-1 record this week, posting 15 points, six assists, and six rebounds per game, as he stayed consistent through all three games by shooting 63 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the free throw line...PS-Behrend PG Andy Niland helped guide the Behrend Lions to a season-opening win over Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, as he poured in 23 points on the strength of 7-13 shooting from the field, while also connecting on five of eleven triples and going a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line, and also dished out seven assists...Pitt-Bradford G Reggie Rogers put together a stellar weekend for the Panthers, averaging 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals in the two games in the Stevenson Tournamentm as he led all scorers on Saturday with 22 points while knocking down three three-pointers and shooting 7-11 from the floor (63.6 percent) to lead Pitt-Bradford to its first win of the season against Clarks Summit....D'Youville G Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden had an impressive week for the Spartans, helping them to earn their second win of the season, as he scored 15 points with seven rebounds in the 83-77 loss to Alfred, and then led the team against Fredonia with 21 points and nine rebounds...Medaille G Kirk Hawkins has been a spark for the Mavericks early on this season, as he averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and four assists per game last week, while shooting 57.9 percent from the floor and connecting on 75 percent of his three point attempts...Pitt-Greensburg G Kyle Bondi averaged 14.7 points and four rebounds in three games last week, he shot an impressive 68% from the floor, making 19-of-28 attempts and also going 6-of-10 from the free-throw line...PS-Altoona G Jalen Archie-Davis got off to a strong and consistent start for the Lions during their opening week, averaging 11.5 points per game, 4.5 assists per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and 2.5 steals per game...Franciscan C Matt Trent led the Barons to a 1-1 week at the Bill Sudek Tournament hosted by Case Western Reserve, as he averaged 12.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg while adding a block in each game.
