AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR NOVEMBER 28-DECEMBER 4, 2022
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's basketball, swimming & diving and men's wrestling for the period running from November 28-December 4, 2022.

Women's Swimming: PS-Altoona SR Grace Dangelo had a team-high three first place finishes in Penn State Altoona's victory at AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend on Saturday. Her first win of the day came in the 200 Yard IM, during which she clocked in at 2:21.24 to finish atop the standings. Dangelo later won the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:02.72, and she wrapped up her three-win day by taking first place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:14.99.
Men's Swimming: PS-Behrend SO Tim Compton won two individual events and one relay to lead Behrend past Altoona on Saturday. He was first in the 1000 freestyle in (10:16.58) and the 100 butterfly (53.05), while swimming a leg on the winning 200 medley relay.
Men's Diving: Penn State Behrend FR Jacob Earley took first on the three-meter board with a winning score of 195.25.
Women's Basketball: Pitt-Greensburg G Sidney McCully averaged 22.5 points over two games last week, including a career-high 31 points in a win over Wooster. She started both games and played all but six minutes of the two games combined. McCully shot over 40 percent from the floor. In her career-high 31 point game she also had 11 rebounds and six assists compared to only two turnovers. For the week, she averaged 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
Men's Basketball: Mount Aloysius G Will Hagwood led the Mounties in a 1-1 week, averaging over 20 points per game. In the team's win over Penn College, he shot over 50% from the field, and was perfect from behind the three point line and the free throw line, going for a career-high, 24 points. He also added seven rebounds and five assists. In the Mounties' loss to Houghton, he added a team-high, 20 points.
Men's Wrestling: Alfred State SR Anthony Miraglia was the 149 runner-up at the RIT Invitational, defeating the tournament #1 Seed in the 149 Semifinal. Miraglia recieved a bye in the Championship Round 1 before winning by fall over Dario Molina (Wesleyan (CT)) (Fall 1:18) in the Championship Round 2. In the Championship Round 3, Miraglia won by decision over Luke Lupisella (St. John Fisher) (Dec 5-2) before winning by tech fall over Colin Jens (Pennsylvania College of Technology) (TF 17-0) in the Quarterfinal. Miraglia moved on to the Semifinal round and won by decision over Mike Glynn (RIT) (Dec 8-3) before advancing to the 1st Place Match when Chris Perry (Trinity (CT)) won by decision over Miraglia (Dec 3-1).
