BOWLERS TEAM UP FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT AT AMCC CHAMPIONSHIP

The five teams participating in the AMCC championship went from competitors to allies as they gathered to make comfort  blankets benefiting Buffalo area organizations Saturday night.

Medaille College head coach Laura Edholm extended an invitation to the four visiting teams--Mount Aloysius College, Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Bradford and New Jersey City University--to join her team in the blanket making effort after the first round of the tournament.

Every team was all in.

"It was a blast," said Edholm. "Everyone had a great time for a good cause."

The group made 16 blankets, and donated half to the Buffalo City Mission and half to the Breast Cancer Network of Western New York.
