MEDAILLE'S BELTON EARNS SPOT ON NABC GREAT LAKES FIRST TEAM

The accolades keep rolling in for Medaille College men's basketball senior guard Johnathan Belton, as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced their All-District teams and Belton was selected to the All-Great Lakes First Team.
 
Belton finished the season with a career high 503 points; averaging 18 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.3 steals per contest. He became the 11th player is school history to score 1,000 points on February 8th against Pitt-Greensburg, and his 91 total steals was tops in the nation.
 
His play and leadership helped the Mavericks earn 21 victories, the AMCC Regular Season Championship, the AMCC Tournament Championship, and a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
 
Since finishing the regular season Belton has been named AMCC All-Conference First Team, D3Hoops.com All-Great Lakes Second Team, AMCC Defensive Player of the Year, AMCC Player of the Year, and was voted into the Reese's Division III College All-Star Game in addition to today's honor.
 
He was the first men's basketball player in AMCC history to be named both Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Belton will take place in the Reese's D-III All-Star Game this Saturday, March 18 at 3:30pm in Salem, Virginia.
