HILBERT COLLEGE: Head Coach, Men's Volleyball (part-time)

Directs all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III men’s volleyball program.  Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities related to the program.  These areas include, but are not limited to recruiting potential student-athletes, planning and supervising of practices, games, management of budget, control of equipment and supplies, academic advisement of student-athletes, scouting opponents, and organization and implementation of program development activities; abide by NCAA and NEAC rules and regulations; maintain accurate uniform and equipment inventories; plan and closely supervise all team travel; serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes; develop and maintain good communication with team members; utilize effective motivational strategies; make hiring recommendations; train and orientate assistant coaches.

Requirements/Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA and NEAC rules and regulations; basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer); strong communication and interpersonal skills; willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, some weekday travel required; strong organizational skills; playing and coaching experience, preferably at the college level; Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid driver’s license.

LA ROCHE COLLEGE: Head Coach - Men's Lacrosse (part-time)

La Roche College invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Men’s Lacrosse.  The head coach is responsible for all facets of the program including instruction, planning, supervision, and compliance with conference regulations.  La Roche competes in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. This coaching opportunity is a contract position and is considered part-time with limited benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct existing competitive men’s lacrosse program; overall management of team with support from Athletics Department.  
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all NCAA, College, and Department policies and regulations. 
  • Scouting and Recruiting responsibilities to maintain and enhance the program in accordance with NCAA regulations.
  • Coach student athletes in all phases of the sport; includes practice time, rules and regulations and standards for intercollegiate play.
  • Represent the College with integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism.
  • Monitor academic progress of athletes; makes recommendations as necessary.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Lacrosse experience and knowledge 
  • Coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
  • Ability to travel and work varied schedule, including some weekend hours
  • Valid driver’s license
