HILBERT COLLEGE: Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Summary:  Work in conjunction with the Head Athletic Trainer and Team Physician to coordinate and administer a comprehensive sports medicine program for the college’s 15 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. Assist with injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs and counseling for students. Provide athletic training services including attendance at scheduled team practices, as well as home and away competitions as necessary. Coordinate and schedule medical referrals for student-athletes to determine their ability to practice and compete. Work in conjunction with the Head Athletic Trainer and coaching staff to ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness, nutrition and conditioning programs customized to meet individual student-athlete needs.

Requirements/Qualifications: Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends and some holidays as needed.  Ability to understand and enforce safety procedures and perform moderate physical activity; required handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and standing and/or walking for more than four hours per day. Basic computer skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE accredited institution required; certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); NYS Athletic Training Licensure or eligible; certified in CPR/AED and First Aid for the professional rescuer or equivalent; must have valid driver’s license.

HILBERT COLLEGE: Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball (part-time)

Job Summary: The Assistant Coach will assist in developing and coordinating a basketball program in a highly competitive NCAA Division III environment. Major emphasis will be on recruiting, practice planning and on court teaching.  Responsibilities to include recruiting quality Division III student-athletes; abide by NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations; assist with team practice and game day coaching responsibilities; assist with the monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes;  Scout and break down video of all opponents.

Requirements/Qualifications: Flexibility in schedule; ability to work evenings and weekends; Some travel required; Knowledge of NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations; Good interpersonal communication skills; Able to actively participate in practices. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. College playing experience and high school or collegiate coaching experience is helpful. Valid driver’s license.

LA ROCHE COLLEGE: Head Coach - Men's Lacrosse (part-time)

La Roche College invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Men’s Lacrosse.  The head coach is responsible for all facets of the program including instruction, planning, supervision, and compliance with conference regulations.  La Roche competes in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. This coaching opportunity is a contract position and is considered part-time with limited benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct existing competitive men’s lacrosse program; overall management of team with support from Athletics Department.  
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all NCAA, College, and Department policies and regulations. 
  • Scouting and Recruiting responsibilities to maintain and enhance the program in accordance with NCAA regulations.
  • Coach student athletes in all phases of the sport; includes practice time, rules and regulations and standards for intercollegiate play.
  • Represent the College with integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism.
  • Monitor academic progress of athletes; makes recommendations as necessary.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Lacrosse experience and knowledge 
  • Coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
  • Ability to travel and work varied schedule, including some weekend hours
  • Valid driver’s license
