CAVANAUGH, BUTLER TO REPRESENT AMCC ON NCAA COMMITTEES

The AMCC will have two new representatives on NCAA committees starting on September 1.

Brian Cavanaugh, Athletic Director at D'Youville College,  has been selected to serve on the association-wide Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct for a four-year term. The committee's mission is to improve the condition of sportsmanship and ethical conduct in all aspects of college athletics by developing and implementing strategies that foster greater acceptance of the value of respect, fairness, civility, honesty and responsibility.

Bret Butler, Athletic Director at Pitt-Bradford, has been appointed to the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee, and will also be serving a four-year term. The baseball committee is comprised of eight members from Division III, one member from each of the eight Division III baseball regions (New England, New York, Mid-Atlantic, South, Mideast, Central, Midwest, West). Each sport's championship is run by a committee of coaches and administrators from NCAA member schools who are experts in their sport.
